I have a YouTube channel. It’s just for fun and recently I realized I don’t want to monetize it at all unless some miracle I become famous which won’t happen but at the same time I could use the money. I’m someone that the moment I would get paid I would take it seriously like a job. So I like posting whenever I want and posting whatever I want without the pressure of pleasing the audience. I like the concept of making movies and I actually was accepted into an acting school but decided that I couldn’t handle that amount rejection all the time. I enjoy being entertained. It’s nice to know that if I have like a creative bug I could make a film and post it online for others to see but to do it on a daily basis no thanks. It’s a hobby. I know what I would be signing up for if I tried to turn it into a job.
Two main things for people online; attention and money. Now some would say that’s a greedy way of thinking or vain. But some people generally enjoy the attention or rather make money online. There’s nothing wrong with that, wanting money and attention are pretty basic needs. I think the issues come in when its the content that gets you them. Like trolls. We live in a world of 7 billion and I honestly think the internet is a good thing overall. It does have some very dark corners and with all goods things there is bad. How we’ve adapted our social acceptance online can be a bit disappointing. It’s like manners don’t exist and the physical distance allows us to have a false sense of confidence. But eventually everyone online has a higher chance of finding a community where they feel like they belong.
Now, I’m all for allowing people to have their own opinions and I enjoy hearing people’s opinion even if I disagree. It’s important to hear different view points from people with different experiences. Sometimes though people act like children online. So there are different types of commentors
- the supporter; shows their support, may even give you helpful feedback. The kind of commenter you kind of want to listen to because they are kind of rooting for you
- person who missed the mark; now I am not implying they are stupid but when you read their comment, you’re like “wait I said that in the video.” Sometimes you just need to double check with them to make sure something wasn’t missed
- The thinker; these commenters are the ones who are engaged with the content like truly engaged.
- The random commenter; some times they’re funny and some times they end up being like those who miss the mark.
- The hater; now hater’s are common, I hate on other youtubers it would be folly of me to not expect that, it’s the law of karma, you just can’t please this person no matter what and they still add to the engagement.
- The troll; I hate trolls. Now I would be lying if I said I haven’t been a troll once in my life (I have and it was when I was really pissed off, I wasn’t proud of it but I’m talking about the ones who constantly troll). I don’t think many people have not left a mean comment before if you are actively on the internet. For some all it takes is that one sentence to piss you off.
I had like a life rule I was going to try that I wasn’t going to filter anyone out. But after I had someone put their comments (which I replied to) and I was going to leave alone I saw they were commenting on supporters comments. And like something in my brain was nope, I’m all for posting your opinion if you disagree I have the ability to turn off my computer. But to attack supporters my brain was nope. I feel like a hypocrite a bit but I think it’s okay. Maybe I need a scale, if they’re not spamming hateful comments and attacking people let it be. Leaving one mean hateful comment really isn’t the end of the world. It’s online text form and could mean so many different ways. But the act of spamming hate I am not a fan of. It’s not fair for everyone who’s having a good time for you to come in and attack people. You want to voice your opinion so be it but to attack people for your opinion that’s crossing a line.
Being heard can be quite exhilarating. Many of us go throughout the day without anyone listening to us. We all have our own struggles and opinions so it’s having a way to get that out with others. I actually think it’s important. Some times it’s hard to ignore hateful comments because we’re only human.
How to gain subscribers on YouTube channel ? 🤔

Actually not as hard as i thought. Find content you are passionate about and good at. Make sure its trending. Make good videos put some effort into them. Good thumbnails and tags. Dont annoy ppl. Connect with the audience. Sometimes hating on something can get you more views like unpopular popular opinions. Make it entertaining. Rule of thumb, if you wouldn’t want to watch your video twice then dont expect someone to watch it once.
